I’m incredibly stoked to be playing with some of my favorite human beings on January 9th at the Blue Loon!! This show is near and dear to my heart because it means goodbye for a little while to my hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska and some of the loveliest people on the planet. On January 26th, I’ll be traveling to Boston, MA to work with a dear friend and producer, Mike Adams, on my upcoming album and children’s album.
I quit my real job.
I got a one-way ticket.
YIKES THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING.
I’ve been talking about getting away for a while and just letting myself have a writer’s retreat, and although that’s not exactly what this trip is going to be, I’m looking forward to having some head space to really think about where I’m going in my life and the kind of career I want to pursue. After Boston, I’m planning to visit Nashville, Los Angeles, and a few little places in between to get an idea of where I want to live and what my next steps are going to look like. I’m definitely anxious to be taking this kind of risk and saying no to a steady income, but I know if I don’t do this I’ll kick myself later.
Happy New Year to you all! Wishing you all the best and then some :).
Here’s to taking risks and pursuing what you love!
