“Count on You” was a custom birthday song for Bill! I absolutely love how it turned out and I was beyond honored to hear that his two favorite artists are Bob Dylan and ME! So I tried to write a song that combined our two styles of writing.
“You Made It” was a collaboration with the fans of Brandon Farris, an amazing internet comedian! I had so much fun writing this song as a surprise birthday present for Brandon. Our goal was to make him cry “big hairy man tears” and we did JUST THAT!
“Mama” was a very special song dedicated to Lateshia’s mother. It was such a privilege to hear and express Lateshia and her mother’s story through this song, and I’m grateful to be entrusted with such an impactful and inspiring story. I hope it lifts you up as much as it did for me.
This custom wedding song was for Ashley & Jonathan. I wanted to create something that sounded like it could be a jazz standard – Ashley is an incredible vocalist so I wrote this from the perspective of “what would Ashley want to sing?”
Custom wedding song for Kate & Byram. Their love story centered around water & their love of nature. From their first date, the first spark, to some emotional decisions and conversation, water seemed to play a very important symbolic theme for their relationship. I had the privilege to perform this one at their wedding!
Songs for Shows, Movies, and Video Games
Commissioned song for this adorable video game “The Stars Between Us” – now available for Oculus GO. I had the pleasure of collaborating with video game composer John Smith for this project, taking the main musical theme of the video game and setting it to lyrics, then building other sections of the song around that main theme.
